China Suppliers Factory Polymer Candle Filter Elements SUS 304 for High-Viscosity Filtration
Description
The melt filter element is installed in the extrusion line, where the polymer melt is forced through the filter to remove impurities. The filtered polymer melt then proceeds to the spinning process, where it is solidified into continuous filaments or staple fibers.
The main filter layer of Pleated Filter mainly uses two materials: stainless steel wire mesh and stainless steel sintered fiber. Stainless steel wire mesh is woven from stainless steel wire. Its pleated filter has the characteristics of smooth pores, easy cleaning, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, no wire mesh falling off, and long filtration cycle. Stainless steel sintered fiber is a porous deep filter material made of stainless steel fibers sintered at high temperature. Its pleated filter has the characteristics of high porosity, good air permeability, strong dirt holding capacity, and strong regeneration ability.

How to Clean Industrial Filter Cores?
Industrial fine filters are widely used in industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, ink and paint, food and beverage, automobile manufacturing, cement industry, petroleum, oil refineries, petrochemical, etc. It is important to clean these filter cartridges to ensure that they filter consistently over a long period of time.
Industrial filter cores provided by Song Phung have high dirt holding capacity, are easy to install, clean and maintain. The fine filter element is sturdy, has a solid quality core and has well-formed layers, so cleaning and installing them is very easy.
Some filtration systems allow backwashing and have a CIP system design. But most have to be taken out of their shells, sterilized and washed. When not in use, these cleaned filter cartridges are dried and sealed or vacuumed to prevent contamination or wear.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q
What materials are used in pleated candle filter elements?
Pleated candle filter elements are primarily made from two materials: stainless steel wire mesh and stainless steel sintered fiber. Both are available in SUS304 and SUS316L grades, offering excellent corrosion resistance and durability in demanding industrial environments.
Q
What filtration ratings are available for polymer candle filters?
Polymer candle filters are available in filtration ratings ranging from 1 to 200 microns, allowing them to be tailored to the specific particle removal requirements of your application.
Q
What is the maximum working temperature for these candle filter elements?
The candle filter elements are rated for working temperatures up to 350℃, making them suitable for high-temperature polymer melt filtration processes such as polyester fiber spinning and extrusion lines.
Q
How do I clean and maintain industrial pleated filter cartridges?
Depending on the filtration system design, filter cartridges can be cleaned via backwashing or CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems. In most cases, cartridges must be removed from their housings, sterilized, and washed. Once cleaned, they should be thoroughly dried and sealed or vacuum-packed to prevent contamination before reuse.
Q
What industries can benefit from using polymer pleated candle filters?
These filters are widely used across multiple industries including petrochemical, metallurgy, textile (polyester melt filtration), electronics, pharmaceuticals, thermal power, and nuclear power. They are designed to handle diverse filtration challenges such as high-viscosity polymer melts, hydraulic fluids, and ultrapure water treatment.
Q
Can candle filter elements be customized for specific applications?
Yes. Custom configurations are available including filter lengths from 16 to 60 inches (406.4–1524 mm) and a wide range of connector types (222, 226, 215, M36, M28, M24, M22, M20). High-quality polymer pleated candle filters can be manufactured to meet specific polymer melt filtration requirements.
